Operating Principle
The tube oil skimmer works according to the oleophilic collector tube. Oil sticks to a continuous loop-oil collector tube, which is made of flexible, special composite plastic that is resistant to high temperature and repels water. The collector tube flops so that it breaks through crusted oil or grease and makes these contaminants adhere to the outer surface. The oil-covered oil collector tube is constantly being pulled through nitrile or ceramic scrapers. Oil has been scraped off flows into the oil collection reservoir below the oil skimmer. After returning to the liquid surface, the clean oil collector tube collects more oil. By constant circulation of the oil collector tube, the liquid surface is kept in motion, and the oil floats toward the oil collector tube. Thus, it is removed from the entire surface of the basin.
